Unemployment is increasing in China, especially for those over 35. Most companies won’t hire someone over 35. Many job postings explicitly state that applicants must be under 35. Chinese
companies prefer a recent college graduate that will work for less pay and work more overtime. But even for recent college graduates the unemployment rate is more than twenty-five percent. High unemployment, even among college graduates, and a tanking real estate market foreshadow the economic crisis on the horizon.
Homelessness has been steadily increasing in China. It is impossible to go anywhere in major cities and not see homeless people everywhere, on the street, in shops, on benches, etc. The communist party has done its best to scrub social media of all images of poverty and likes to erroneously claim that poverty has been eliminated in China. It's easy to make blatantly false claims when the government controls all news and media including social media. This unemployed, homeless guy is offering his daughter for adoption to passers by.
