Chinese politicians take pride in pointing out that China has existed for thousands of years and America has only existed for a few hundred years. Doesn’t that point of pride prove that the Chinese government is incompetent? If a country that has existed for less than 250 years is a leader in science, technology, finance, military, medicine, law, universities, entertainment, etc. doesn’t that also mean that the paradigm itself is superior? In what industries/sectors does China lead the world: intellectual property theft, censorship, surveillance, balloons with cameras, forced labor, false imprisonment, political re-education? What areas are missing?
